New Orleans Saints vs Baltimore Ravens – NFL Prediction
Match Preview
Baltimore might have dropped 41 points on the Colts last week, but their wide receiver room suddenly looks like a triage unit. With Ja’Kobi Lane nursing a fractured wrist, Zay Flowers battling a hamstring issue, and only three healthy wideouts finishing Week 1, can coach Jesse Minter patch this passing game together? Meanwhile, New Orleans comes in bleeding after a brutal 31-30 loss to Detroit. I expect plenty of fireworks, but this game will come down to who handles their banged-up roster better.

I am torn on New Orleans right now. Dropping a 31-30 heartbreaker to Detroit after hanging 27 on Dallas in the preseason shows this offense can move the football.
The stats back it up too, as they are rolling up roughly 394 total yards per game with a passing attack averaging around 283 yards. But here is my concern with the Saints. They cannot stop turning over possessions, averaging nearly one and a half turnovers per game, and their defense got completely wiped out in a 34-0 shutout against the Rams not long ago. Throw in Alvin Kamara and Cameron Jordan sitting on the injury report as questionable, and you start to see why they have won just 20 percent of their recent games. They simply leave too many points on the field.

Look at Baltimore’s form right now and try not to be impressed. They have won 80 percent of their recent contests, including a 41-23 beatdown of Indianapolis and a 41-3 thumping of Washington. They dominate the line of scrimmage, smashing defenses for north of 200 rushing yards per game while amassing 413 total yards on average. Sure, the wideout position is thin. Rashod Bateman played 53 snaps against the Colts without making a single catch, which is wild. But getting Devontez Walker back from his groin injury and working Elijah Sarratt into the rotation gives them fresh legs when they need them most.
Can anybody slow down this rushing attack? Unless New Orleans tightens up inside, Baltimore will happily ground and pound their way to another comfortable victory.
Head-to-Head Record

| Baltimore Ravens | 1 |
These teams haven’t met since Baltimore pulled off a 27-13 victory back in late 2022. Single head-to-head matchups from years ago rarely tell the whole story, but the style matchup remains identical. Baltimore’s heavy-run scheme combined with lower turnover figures (just 1.0 per game) gives them a physical edge that New Orleans historically struggles to neutralize.

Keep a close eye on the questionable tags for Alvin Kamara and Cameron Jordan for New Orleans, alongside Zay Flowers and Justin Madubuike for Baltimore. If Kamara or Jordan end up sidelined, the Saints lose their two primary big-game playmakers.
Betting Analysis & Tips
| Market | Selection | Odds |
|---|---|---|
| Moneyline | New Orleans Saints | 3.90 |
| Moneyline | Baltimore Ravens | 1.21 |
| Total | Over/Under | 47.0 |
The odds have Baltimore heavily favored at 1.21 while New Orleans sits way down at 3.90. Our analysis projects a 30-18 Baltimore win, and I agree that the Ravens should comfortably clear the 4.0 predicted spread. With the total line set at 47.0, taking the over feels like the right play given how easily Baltimore puts up points.
Final Prediction
I’m taking the Ravens to cover and win this one comfortably. Baltimore’s receiver injuries give me a slight pause, but their ground game is simply too dominant for New Orleans to handle. My gut says Baltimore wins this 30-18.
