Aaron Rodgers finally woke up and threw three touchdowns in a wild 30-27 win over Cincinnati, but can this Pittsburgh offense build on that momentum? Cleveland enters this rivalry battle winning three of their last five, led by Deshaun Watson following his return from two Achilles injuries. Is Pittsburgh’s offense really back on track, or was last week just a lucky burst? I expect a heavy dose of physical football from the opening kickoff.

What I like about Pittsburgh right now is how the rebuilt offensive line stabilized things in Week 3. They allowed just two sacks, converted seven of 12 third downs, and helped pave the way for 411 total offensive yards against the Bengals.

Still, my gut says you should proceed with caution. Rodgers looked sharper throwing for 292 yards, and Jaylen Warren put up 176 total yards while playing through a shoulder issue, but red zone execution remains a glaring flaw. They converted just one of three trips inside the 20 into touchdowns, and penalties are killing big plays, including a DK Metcalf holding call that wiped out an 87-yard Warren run. Remember, this is an offense that managed just three points in a 20-3 beatdown by New England and scraped by Atlanta 20-13. Derrick Harmon saved them with a game-sealing strip-sack on Joe Burrow last week, but relying on late defensive heroics every Sunday is a dangerous game.

Can Cleveland keep stacking wins with their current game plan? Watson is sitting on a 76.9% completion rate after a crisp 23-19 win at Tampa Bay and a 21-18 victory over Carolina. Monken has him taking what the defense gives, with over 76% of his throws traveling under nine yards while his receivers lead the way with 266 yards after the catch. They stay on schedule, averaging around 109 rushing yards per game and keeping turnovers low at under one per contest. When he does take shots downfield, he has gone 7-for-12 for 215 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception, proving he can still push the envelope when needed.

The worry for me is how they handle adversity when script falls apart. They were utterly non-competitive in a 34-10 blowout loss to Jacksonville, and their defense surrendered 31 points to Buffalo earlier in the year. If Pittsburgh forces them into obvious passing downs, this short-passing rhythm could stall out fast.

Look at the head-to-head history and you realize these games are almost always ugly physical grinding matches. Cleveland took the most recent meeting 13-6, but Pittsburgh grabbed victories of 23-9 and 27-14 before that. Out of their last five matchups, three were decided by seven points or fewer, including Cleveland victories by scores of 24-19 and 13-10. These two coaching staffs know each other’s personnel inside and out, so do not expect any surprise blowouts.

Keep an eye on the defensive backfields, with both Joey Porter Jr. and Grant Delpit carrying questionable tags into this one. Jaylen Warren playing through his shoulder injury keeps Pittsburgh’s backfield dangerous, while Cleveland must adjust without Teven Jenkins along the offensive line.

Betting Analysis & Tips

Market Selection Odds
Moneyline Pittsburgh Steelers 1.65
Moneyline Cleveland Browns 2.10
Total Over/Under 38.0

Oddsmakers put Pittsburgh as the home favorite at 1.65, but our analysis projects a razor-thin 18-17 Cleveland victory. That makes the Browns at 2.10 look like fantastic value on the board. With the total line set at 38.0 and two defenses that love to drag games into the mud, I am looking strongly at the under.

Final Prediction

I’m taking Cleveland to cover and grabbing their moneyline at 2.10. Pittsburgh’s red zone execution issues make me nervous about laying points with them right now. It will not be pretty, but I expect Cleveland’s ball-control offense to squeak out a close win.

Predicted Score Pittsburgh Steelers 17 – 18 Cleveland Browns
Most Likely Result Pittsburgh Steelers Win
