Singapore hosts its first WTA 500 edition from September 21 to 27 at OCBC Arena, a step up from last year’s WTA 250 debut.

Mirra Andreeva (1) – odds: 3.20

World No. 5, Roland Garros champion in 2026. The only top-10 player left in the field after Jessica Pegula’s late withdrawal.

Andreeva picked up a first-round bye and opens against Aliaksandra Sasnovich, who beat Daria Kasatkina 7-5, 6-0 in the first round. A projected quarterfinal with No. 6 seed Leylah Fernandez sits on her side of the draw.

Clear market favorite, and the form supports it. No player in the field has a better 2026 resume.

Amanda Anisimova (2) – odds: 3.75

Ranked No. 11, former Wimbledon and US Open finalist in 2025. 2026 has been a rockier season by her own standard, and she needs rhythm back ahead of the WTA Finals race.

Opened with a bye and now faces Talia Gibson, who beat Fiona Ferro in the first round.

Live to a title if the serve clicks, but the second seed carries more risk than her ranking suggests right now.

Alexandra Eala (3) – odds: 6.00

No. 18 in the world, the biggest local storyline of the week as the tournament’s Southeast Asian headliner. Won her maiden WTA title in Washington this season.

Bye into the second round, where she meets the winner of Prozorova vs Costoulas (match still in progress as of writing).

Best value play among the top four seeds. Home support at OCBC Arena is a real factor, and her ceiling this season has been higher than her seeding here reflects.

Elise Mertens (4) – odds: 12.00

Defending champion, beat Ann Li 6-1, 6-4 in last year’s final. Ranked No. 19.

Her side of the draw includes a possible Round of 16 clash with Barbora Krejčíková, currently unseeded but a two-time Grand Slam champion.

Solid, but the odds reflect a tougher road back to the final than in 2025.

The Danger Floating Outside the Top Seeds

Barbora Krejčíková – odds: 10.00

Two-time major champion, former world No. 1. Currently on a four-match losing streak coming into Singapore, which explains why she sits unseeded in a 500 draw.

If the form turns, she is live deep into the second week. If it does not, an early exit is just as plausible. High-variance pick, not for conservative bettors.

Xinyu Wang – odds: 29.00

Ranked outside the top 30 but historically a strong hard-court performer in Asia. Currently through her Round of 32 match against No. 8 seed Donna Vekić.

The biggest value price in the field if she strings results together on home continent.

Fernandez is the shortest-priced player outside the top three seeds, largely on the strength of a favorable early draw. Chwalińska and Vekić are longer prices for a reason: tougher early tests and less consistent 2026 form.

Verdict

Andreeva is the correct favorite on current form and ranking. Eala offers the best combination of value and genuine title equity, with home support behind her all week.

Krejčíková and Wang are the two live long-shots worth a small stake for anyone chasing a bigger price.
